Event Details
Course Description
The Black Snake Race follows an out‑and‑back trail along the dirt Clohesy River Road in Dinden National Park. Runners start at the first creek past the Clohesy River and Cedar Park Roads junction, cross one or two creeks and head out into bushland. The 12 km and 21 km routes include a visit to the iconic Clohesy River Fig Tree at the 6 km and 14 km marks, while the 5 km stays closer to the river. Expect a mix of gentle undulations, soft river‑bank footing and plenty of shade, making it a memorable tropical trail experience.
Getting There
The race is held at 255 Clohesy River Rd, Koah QLD 4881, at the junction of Clohesy River Road and Cedar Park Road. Parking is available along Clohesy River Road or Cedar Park Road; walkers then head about 200 m down to the creek start/finish. Because the road is narrow and spaces are limited, arrive early and consider car‑pooling. For public‑transport options or detailed directions, please refer to the official event website.
