Event Details
Course Description
The 10km course starts at The Barracks Precinct on North Head Scenic Drive and follows a loop around the iconic North Head headland. Runners enjoy sweeping vistas of Sydney Harbour, the Pacific Ocean, and the historic gatehouse building. The terrain is primarily sealed road with a few gentle undulations as the route climbs modestly up the cliffs before descending back to the start. Well‑marked streets and wide pathways keep the flow smooth, while the sea breezes add a refreshing challenge. The finish returns to the historic barracks, offering post‑race refreshments and a chance to soak in the coastal ambience.
Getting There
The race is held at The Barracks Precinct, North Head Scenic Drive in Manly. Parking and public transport options are provided on the official Sydney Striders website, so please check there for the latest details. Aim to arrive early to collect your race packet and warm up before the 7 am start.
Weather & What to Pack
November in Sydney is springtime, with daytime highs around 24 °C and overnight lows near 17 °C. Expect mild sunshine and occasional light breezes off the harbour. Dress in breathable, layered clothing – a short‑sleeve top and light jacket for the morning chill works well. Stay hydrated, but you likely won’t need heavy water stations in this moderate climate.
