Course Description
The race starts on Margaret Street in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD, then loops twice through a scenic riverside circuit. Runners cross the fully‑closed Story Bridge, sprint along the Kangaroo Point Cliffs, and weave through the vibrant New Farm precinct before returning to the finish line set within the lush City Botanic Gardens. The course is predominantly road with a few gentle undulations, offering flat fast sections for personal bests and iconic city landmarks for motivation. All distances share the same start and finish, making logistics simple for participants and spectators.
Getting There
The start line is on Margaret Street, just metres from Queen Street Mall. Free on‑street parking is limited; nearby paid options include King George Square Car Park (≈$15/day). Public transport is convenient – catch a train to Central Station (5‑minute walk) or use bus routes 199, 199E, or 199X that stop at the Gardens. Arrive at least two hours before the first wave to allow time for registration, bag drop, and warm‑up.

Weather & What to Pack
June is winter in Brisbane. Expect mild daytime highs around 22 °C and cooler evenings near 12 °C, with virtually no rain. Humidity is moderate and sunshine is common. Dress in layers – a breathable base, a light jacket for the early morning chill, and a hat or sunglasses for sun later. Hydration is still important; carry a water bottle or use the aid stations placed along the route.
