Event Details
Course Description
The race starts at Cedar Flats second picnic area and climbs steeply up the ridgeline firebreak before turning onto Northbrook Mountain. Runners descend to England Creek for a mid‑point checkpoint, then face a continuous 600 m ascent to Mount Glorious summit. From the historic stone‑lined western ridge, a short stone‑stair climb leads to the Western Window, followed by a flat, forest‑shaded run to the finish opposite Maiala Park. The 22 km course offers 1,200 m of elevation gain, 650 m of descent, and a mix of steep climbs, technical descents, and lush rainforest scenery.
Getting There
From Brisbane, follow Kelvin Grove Rd → Samford Rd → Mt Glorious Rd, then north along the range past Wivenhoe Lookout to Cedar Flats. Limited parking is available at the Red Cedar Park paddock; we recommend arriving by 05:00 AM. Buses depart The Gap Park ‘N’ Ride at 05:15 AM and provide free transport to the start. Car‑pool if possible.
Weather & What to Pack
November is spring in Queensland. Expect mild to warm days (20‑28 °C) with occasional showers and moderate humidity. Morning temperatures can be cooler on the ridge, so dress in layers, wear a hat and sunscreen, and stay hydrated. Carry a litre of water and a refillable bottle; top‑ups are available at checkpoints.
