Course Description
The race starts at the iconic Bondi Pavilion and follows the 80 km Bondi‑to‑Manly walking track. Runners tackle dramatic cliff‑top sections, descend to Watsons Bay, then hug the harbour foreshore through national parks, passing landmarks such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge and historic sites. The route alternates between paved promenade, sandy beach stretches and rugged trail, delivering both scenic beauty and technical challenges before finishing on the golden sands of Manly Beach.
Getting There
The start line is at Bondi Pavilion on Bondi Beach. Limited on‑site parking is available for a fee; we recommend arriving early to secure a spot. Public transport is easy – catch the Bondi Junction train then the 333 bus to Bondi Beach, or take a direct bus from the city centre. Arrive at least 30 minutes before the 5 am start to collect your race packet and warm up.
Weather & What to Pack
October is spring in Sydney, with mild temperatures ranging from 15 °C to 23 °C and occasional sea breezes. Expect mostly sunny skies but be prepared for light showers. Dress in layers – a breathable base, a light jacket, and a hat or visor. Sunscreen is essential, and carry enough water (or plan for aid stations) to stay hydrated throughout the 80 km journey.
