Course Description

The Three Bridges Run starts and finishes at Western Sydney University's Parramatta South Campus and follows the sealed Parramatta Valley shared-use path along the Parramatta River. Runners pass Eric Primrose Reserve, George Kendall Riverside Park, Melrose Park and Meadowbank Wharf before crossing the John Whitton Railway Bridge and Bennelong Bridge into Wentworth Point and Millennium Parklands. The course is flat and fast: the Half Marathon climbs just ±128m and the 10km only ±61m. Marathon runners complete this eastern loop twice before heading west through Parramatta Park for a third loop. The course is not closed to other path users, so runners share the route with pedestrians and cyclists throughout.

Getting There

The event starts and finishes at Western Sydney University's Parramatta South Campus on Fifth Street. Parramatta Station is a 2.7km walk away, while the Yallamundi light rail stop is just 500m from the venue. Regular buses stop nearby at Victoria Rd/Anderson Ave, Dundas. On-campus and street parking is available, plus paid overflow parking at Parramatta North Campus across Victoria Rd, linked by a pedestrian walkway.

Weather & What to Pack

Late September in Parramatta falls in early spring, with daytime highs typically around 22-23°C and cooler mornings near 12-14°C at the early start times. Humidity is generally low and conditions are mild, though a passing shower is possible. Runners should dress in light layers that can be shed as the day warms, and stay hydrated - aid stations along the course provide water and sports drink.
