September in Gloucester brings pleasant spring conditions with daytime temperatures ranging from 12-22°C. Mornings can be cool (5-10°C), so bring warm layers for the start. The region sits at the base of Barrington Tops, so weather can be changeable. Pack sun protection for the bike and run legs, and consider a wetsuit for the kayak section as water temperatures will be cool. Wind can affect paddling conditions, so check forecasts and prepare accordingly.
