The Beachside Dash launches from Depena Reserve on Russell Avenue, offering a completely flat, sea‑level circuit that follows the stunning Botany Bay shoreline. The 2km School Cup & Family Fun Run is an easy out‑and‑back along the foreshore, ideal for children and beginners. The 5km and 10km routes continue the coastal promenade, delivering uninterrupted water views and a gentle breeze. The Half Marathon extends the course across the iconic Captain Cook Bridge before turning around at Shark Park, creating a certified 21.1km loop that showcases both the harbour and surrounding suburbs. All distances are fully timed, with clear signage, water stations, and on‑course volunteers to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for runners of every ability.

Weather & What to Pack

September in Sydney is early spring, with daytime highs averaging 22 °C and night lows around 12 °C. Expect mild sunshine and low humidity, and rainfall is typically minimal. Dress in light layers – a short‑sleeve shirt with a breathable jacket or vest for cooler mornings, and consider a hat and sunglasses for sun protection. A pair of running shoes with good grip is sufficient, and a water bottle will keep you hydrated, especially if the sun intensifies.
