Weather & What to Pack
September in Port Douglas offers ideal running conditions during Tropical North Queensland's dry season. Expect morning temperatures between 18-22°C at the early starts, warming to 25-28°C by mid-morning. Humidity is moderate (60-70%) with minimal rainfall expected. The 6:15 AM Half Marathon start takes advantage of cooler temperatures. Wear lightweight, breathable running gear and apply sunscreen generously. While conditions are generally comfortable, tropical sun is strong—bring a hat for post-race recovery. Hydration remains important despite the pleasant weather.
