Course Description

All three races start and finish at the Mount Beerwah Road entry to Glass House Mountains National Park. The 10 km climbs 294 m, the Half Marathon adds a further 586 m, and the Marathon repeats the half‑marathon loop for a total elevation gain of 1 172 m. The trail winds through native forest, offering sweeping views of the iconic peaks. Course markings include reflective orange‑silver flagging tape every ~250 m, red directional arrows on trees, and red crosses to indicate off‑course routes. Checkpoints provide water, electrolytes and light snacks (no disposable cups). Mandatory gear includes a bib, 500 ml hydration pack, compression bandage and a headlamp for marathon runners; drop bags are available for the marathon.

Getting There

From Brisbane, follow the Bruce Highway (M1) north to Steve Irwin Way (exit 163), then Beerburrum Rd, Beerburrum‑Woodford Rd, Old Gympie Rd and finally Mount Beerwah Rd to the end of the bitumen; the dirt road leads to on‑site parking. From the Sunshine Coast, travel south on the M1 to Steve Irwin Way (exit 188), continue to Glasshouse Mountains, turn onto Coonowrin Rd, then Old Gympie Rd and Mount Beerwah Rd. Arrive early and check the official website for exact parking rules and any transport updates.
