Participants can expect a supportive, festive atmosphere as they walk or run for breast and ovarian cancer research, finishing back at the beach park where celebrations and community spirit continue.
Quick Facts
Getting There
Bellerive Beach Play Park is located on the eastern shore of Hobart, easily accessible via the Tasman Bridge. Free street parking is typically available along Cambridge Road and surrounding streets, though arrive early to secure a spot. Public transport options include Metro Tasmania buses servicing the Bellerive area. Plan to arrive at least 45 minutes before your intended start time to allow for parking, registration check-in, and pre-race preparations.
Weather & What to Pack
Early May in Hobart brings crisp autumn conditions, with morning temperatures typically ranging from 8-15°C. Expect cool, fresh air with possible light winds off the Derwent River. The weather can be changeable, so layers are recommended - start with a light jacket or long-sleeved top that you can remove as you warm up. Early morning events may be quite cool, so gloves and a beanie are advisable. Sun protection is still important on clear days, and hydration remains essential despite the cooler temperatures.
