The venue is remote, so plan your journey accordingly and consider carpooling with fellow runners.

Weather & What to Pack

May in Finch Hatton brings mild, pleasant conditions perfect for trail running. Expect daytime temperatures between 15-25°C with low humidity and minimal rainfall. Mornings can be cool, so bring a light layer for the start. Despite the dry season, creek crossings mean you'll get wet regardless. Pack sun protection including a hat and sunscreen, as sections through cane paddocks offer little shade. Bring plenty of water for hydration, especially on the longer 12km course.
