Course Description
The Werribee Mansion Run offers a rare opportunity to explore the historic grounds of Werribee Park Mansion, a heritage estate normally reserved for quiet appreciation. The courses wind through manicured parklands surrounded by natural beauty, providing a scenic backdrop for runners and walkers of all abilities. The half marathon features a challenging two-lap route, whilst the 10km and 5.5km options offer shorter tours of the estate. All courses share a signature feature: a demanding set of stairs near the finish line that tests your resolve after the flat parkland running. The family-friendly 1.2km Kids Dash gives young participants their own adventure through the grounds. This is a course where history meets fitness, offering charm and character in equal measure.

Weather & What to Pack
April in Victoria brings autumn conditions with pleasant temperatures ideal for running. Expect morning temperatures ranging from 10-15°C at the 8:15am start, warming to 16-20°C by mid-morning. The weather can be unpredictable with potential for cool breezes or occasional showers, so check the forecast beforehand. Early starters should layer up with a warm-up top you can discard. Sun protection is still important - apply sunscreen before the race. Hydration is essential even in cooler weather, particularly for half marathon participants completing two laps. The estate's open parkland offers limited shade.
