April in North Queensland offers ideal trail running conditions with warm temperatures ranging from 20-29°C and lower humidity than summer months. Morning starts are typically comfortable, though temperatures rise through mid-morning. Expect partly cloudy skies with minimal rainfall. The coastal location can bring variable conditions, so check forecasts beforehand. Wear lightweight, breathable running gear and bring a cap for sun protection. Carry sufficient water for the technical course, and consider trail shoes with good grip for creek crossings and rocky sections.

What do I need to bring on race day?
