Bendigo Railway Station is a 10-minute walk from the start line, with regular V/Line services from Melbourne. Weather & What to Pack

Early April in Bendigo brings pleasant autumn conditions, with daytime temperatures typically ranging from 12-22°C. Mornings can be cool, warming up by mid-morning when most races begin. The region experiences low humidity and generally clear skies, though occasional showers are possible. Dress in light running gear with a warm-up layer for pre-race. The mild temperatures are ideal for one-mile racing, though sun protection is recommended as there's limited shade on the city streets. Hydration stations are typically available, but the short distance means carrying water isn't necessary.

What time should I arrive on race day?

All participants must report to the starting point at the Gold Monument in Pall Mall by 9:30 AM to collect their race bib number, even if your race doesn't start until 11:15 AM. Arriving early also helps secure parking and allows time to warm up.
