Getting There
The race is centrally located on Mooloolaba Esplanade with transition at Parkyn Parade Park. A free event shuttle service operates from Lady Musgrave Drive, Mountain Creek to River Esplanade on both race days (4:30 AM-5:30 PM). Street parking is available along the Esplanade and surrounding streets, though arrive early as it fills quickly. Public parking is available at nearby council car parks. Athletes should arrive by 5:30 AM on race morning to allow time for final transition set-up.
Weather & What to Pack
March on the Sunshine Coast offers ideal racing conditions with warm temperatures ranging from 20-28°C and moderate humidity. Morning starts provide cooler conditions for racing, with sunny skies typically developing by mid-morning. Sea temperatures average 25°C, making wetsuits optional. The balmy coastal climate means minimal wind early morning. Athletes should still apply sunscreen before racing and ensure proper hydration in transition. Light, breathable race kit is recommended. Post-race, the beachside location is perfect for cooling down in the ocean.
