Course Description

The ProFeet Half Marathon starts and finishes at Portarlington Pier, heading out along the Bellarine Coastal Trail to St Leonards before turning back. Runners follow a mixed‑surface out‑and‑back route that hugs the shoreline, passes vineyards, olive groves and the iconic Indented Head headland, offering panoramic views of Port Phillip Bay. The 10.5 km Steigen route mirrors the half‑marathon’s coastal scenery but covers half the distance, with a convenient bus from St Leonards to the start. The untimed 4 km Bully Buster begins at the event HQ near the pier, providing a flat, family‑friendly loop. All courses feature regular hydration stations and are chip‑timed (except the 4 km).

Getting There

The event is based at Portarlington Pier in the town of Portarlington on the Bellarine Peninsula. Parking is available near both Portarlington and St Leonards piers. Public transport services run to Portarlington – check local bus schedules. For detailed directions, parking information and any road closures, visit the official website or contact the organisers.

Weather & What to Pack

February is summer in Victoria, with warm days and mild evenings. Expect daytime temperatures between 20 °C and 30 °C, occasional humidity and plenty of sunshine. Wear light, breathable clothing, a hat and sunscreen, and stay hydrated. An early‑morning start helps avoid the peak heat, but bring a water bottle for the later half‑marathon wave.
