Course Description

Swim in pristine Shoalwater Bay starts on the beach with a 200 m out‑and‑back to the first buoy, then two laps (1.5 km) for Olympic or a single 750 m lap for Sprint. The bike leg tackles a 40 km (six‑lap) road circuit along Arcadia Drive, Lease Road and Memorial Drive, featuring tight hair‑pin turns that test handling skills. The run is a 2.5 km loop (four laps for Olympic, two for Sprint) winding along the foreshore and through Lions Park, finishing through a fun chute near the kids’ playground. Spectacular coastal views and gentle sea breezes enhance the experience.

Getting There

The race is based at the Shoalwater Bay car park near the Arcadia Drive/Gloucester Avenue intersection. Road closures run from 7 am to 11 am on Memorial Drive, Lease Road and Arcadia Drive between Boundary Road and Seaforth Road.
