About This Event
The Lake Rumble Run around the scenic Yellagonga Regional Park. Multiple distances from 5km to marathon.
Course Description
The Lake Rumble Run offers a fast, scenic course hugging the banks of Lake Joondalup within the picturesque Yellagonga Regional Park. This point-to-point route follows the fastest sections traditionally used by local training groups, featuring very subtle undulations that make it ideal for personal bests. The well-protected pathway winds through the beautiful parkland setting, offering runners shelter from the elements while enjoying views of the lake and local birdlife. The course is renowned for its quick times and gentle terrain, making it suitable for everything from a 5km family run to a full marathon effort. Multiple out-and-back or loop configurations accommodate the five distance options, all starting and finishing at Neil Hawkins Park.

Weather & What to Pack
Late April in Perth typically offers ideal running conditions with mild autumn weather. Expect morning temperatures between 12-18°C, with low humidity and minimal rainfall. Conditions are generally cool at the start, warming slightly as the morning progresses. The tree-lined course provides good shade protection. Wear light, breathable layers that can be removed, and bring a light jacket for before and after the race. Hydration is still important despite cooler temperatures, especially for longer distances.
