June in Perth is winter, with average minimums around 11°C and maximums of 19°C. Expect some rainfall (average 131mm across 13 days in June), so be prepared for wet conditions. The river foreshore can feel cooler due to wind off the water. Wear moisture-wicking layers at the start and lighter gear for racing. A light rain jacket is handy for pre-race waiting.
