Course Description

The 2‑kilometre loop around Perry Lakes Reserve winds through grassy fields, shaded tree‑lined paths and paved walkways. Colour stations line the route, showering runners in bright powder, while a foam‑bubble machine creates a playful cloud near the centre. Simple obstacles such as low walls and stepping platforms add a light challenge. The course is flat, well‑marked and suitable for walkers, joggers, skippers or even crawlers. Families can pace themselves, and the event finishes with medals and on‑site photography. All ages are welcome, and the atmosphere is festive and supportive, with music and volunteer staff throughout. The venue also provides shaded picnic areas and easy access to restrooms, making it comfortable for families spending the whole morning.

Getting There

Perry Lakes Reserve is about 7 km north of Perth CBD. From the city, take the Great Eastern Highway (State Route 5) and turn left onto Lake Road; follow signs to the reserve entrance. Free on‑site parking is available near the main pavilion. Bus routes 31 and 33 stop at the nearby Cambridge Interchange. Arrive by 8:30 AM to collect your race pack and warm‑up before the 9:30 AM start.

Weather & What to Pack

November in Western Australia is spring, bringing mild to warm days with typical highs of 18‑25 °C and occasional light showers. Sunshine is common, but UV levels can be high, so wear a hat, sunscreen and lightweight layers. A light waterproof jacket is advisable in case of a brief rain. Stay hydrated with water bottles, especially if you plan to run the full loop.
