Event Details
Course Description
Both courses start at Ludlows Reserve and head out onto open farmland before tackling a steady climb that rewards runners with sweeping views of Lake Hume. The 17.3 km Long Course adds extra hills for a total elevation gain of 760 m, while the 8.7 km Short Course climbs 325 m before a fast, downhill return to the finish. Expect well‑marked tracks, a single aid station on the Long route, and plenty of photo‑ops along the ridge. The terrain is a mix of grass, light bush and gentle fire‑trails, offering a true trail‑running experience in the heart of the Albury‑Wodonga region.

Weather & What to Pack
July is winter in Victoria, with typical daytime temperatures ranging from 5 °C to 12 °C and cooler mornings that can dip below 5 °C. Expect crisp, dry air and occasional light frost on the higher ground. Dress in layers: a moisture‑wicking base, an insulating mid‑layer, and a wind‑proof jacket. Bring a hat, gloves, and a 500 mL water flask (required for the Long Course). Sun protection is still advisable on clear days.
