Course Description

All events run on a fast, flat 2.61 km circuit inside Yellagonga Regional Park. The loop combines limestone pathways, boardwalk sections and smooth asphalt, offering a mixed‑terrain feel while staying easy on the legs. Every three hours the direction changes, keeping muscles guessing. Aid stations and the bustling Light Horse Village sit just off the course, so help and encouragement are always within sight. The park’s native bushland provides gentle scenery, making each lap feel fresh despite the short distance.

Getting There

The race is held at Perry's Paddock in Yellagonga Regional Park, Woodvale (Perth’s northern suburbs). Parking and public‑transport options are not detailed on the site, so check the official Light Horse Ultra website for the latest information and plan to arrive early to allow time for check‑in and bib collection.

Weather & What to Pack

May is autumn in Western Australia. Woodvale typically sees minimums around 11 °C and maximums near 22 °C, with about 90 mm of rain spread over the month. Expect cool mornings and mild afternoons, so dress in layers, bring a wind‑proof jacket and hat, and stay hydrated even if the temperature feels moderate.
