Course Description

The 14.4 km long course starts on Footscray Road, Docklands and quickly climbs the Bolte Bridge, offering sweeping city and South Melbourne vistas. After the bridge you cross the Westgate Freeway, enter the Domain Tunnel and emerge onto Swan Street Bridge before winding through the leafy Kings Domain gardens. The route then follows St Kilda Road, descends into Alexandra Gardens and finishes near Batman Hill Drive after a flat stretch along Southbank and Crown Promenades. The 4.7 km short course also tackles the Bolte Bridge southbound, loops back via Charles Grimes Bridge and ends in Docklands Park, with one aid station at 2.5 km.

Getting There

The start line sits on Harbour Esplanade near the corner of LaTrobe Street. Metro Trains run extra services on most lines; alight at Southern Cross Station and walk ten minutes to the Race Village. Special Run for the Kids services operate on Mernda, Eltham, Camberwell, Glen Waverley, Frankston, Sandringham, Werribee, Williamstown‑Newport, Craigieburn, Upfield, Cranbourne and Sunbury lines. Parking is available at Marvel Stadium (pre‑book for $12) and District Docklands East Car Park (90 Waterfront Way). Bike racks are provided at the corner of Harbour Esplanade Promenade. Weather & What to Pack
