Course Description
All races start and finish at Brett’s Wharf Plaza, 449A Kingsford Smith Drive, Hamilton. The course follows smooth, sealed riverfront pathways heading towards the city, with a turnaround just before New Farm Park. The Half Marathon consists of two flat loops (≈21.1 km) while the 10km is an out‑and‑back, and the 5km is a shorter loop. Spectacular Brisbane River views, shaded sections and well‑staffed aid stations with water and electrolyte drinks keep you refreshed. The terrain is entirely road‑based and predominantly flat, making it fast and PB‑friendly for all abilities.

Weather & What to Pack
August in Brisbane is winter, with typical daytime highs around 24 °C and overnight lows near 11 °C. Expect low rainfall (≈1 mm) and generally dry conditions. Dress in layers – a light long‑sleeve top and a breathable jacket work well, and consider a hat or gloves for early‑morning starts. Stay hydrated, but you won’t need heavy sweating gear.
