Course Description

The race winds through the native bushland of Kings Park, offering sweeping views of the Swan River and Perth skyline. Runners tackle a single 5 km loop – repeat it twice for 10 km or three times for 15 km – with gentle undulations, boardwalks and occasional technical sections of roots and soft ground. The 300 m dash follows a short, flat trail to the start/finish arena. All routes are well‑marked and finish at the picnic area where participants are treated to a hot pancake and fresh fruit. The course blends easy‑going scenery with a light trail challenge, perfect for a spring morning run.

Getting There

The event is held at May Drive in the Parklands area of Kings Park, Perth. Arrive early to collect your bib – non‑member bib collection starts at 6:30 am near the start area. For parking, public transport options and detailed directions, please check the official event website.

Weather & What to Pack

October in Perth is spring, with mild to warm days typically ranging from 15 °C to 25 °C and occasional light showers. Expect plenty of sunshine and a gentle breeze. Dress in layers – a breathable t‑shirt, light jacket and hat for sun protection. Bring a small water bottle; the cooler temperatures mean you’ll stay hydrated without needing large volumes.
