Event Details
Course Description
The race starts at the iconic Kent St Weir and follows a mostly flat, mixed‑surface course that weaves through the riverside parkland along the Canning River. Runners will enjoy sealed footpaths, gentle grassy sections and a few mild undulations that add a touch of challenge without being overly demanding. Views of the weir and surrounding wetlands provide plenty of visual interest, making both the 5km and 10km distances feel fresh and enjoyable for all ability levels.
Getting There
Kent St Weir is located in the suburb of Wilson, just north of the Canning River. Wilson is serviced by several Transperth bus routes (72, 73, 100, 177‑179, 200 and CircleRoute 998/999). Parking details and any specific drop‑off points are not listed, so please check the official event page for the latest information and plan to arrive with time to collect your bib and warm‑up.
Weather & What to Pack
September is spring in Western Australia, bringing mild to warm days and cool mornings. Expect temperatures between 15 °C and 22 °C, low to moderate humidity and plenty of sunshine. Dress in layers – a light long‑sleeve or singlet with a breathable jacket works well. Sun protection (hat, sunscreen) is recommended, and stay hydrated even if the weather feels comfortable.
