Course Description

The Run Melbourne courses weave through Melbourne's iconic CBD streets, starting on Batman Avenue and looping past Harbour Esplanade, La Trobe Street, Boathouse Drive and Petticoat Lane. Runners cross the lively Birrarung Marr Cheer Zone just 800 m from the start and finish, and pass the Government House roundabout where African drummers energise the crowd. The Half Marathon covers 21.1 km of sealed road, while the 10K and 5.5K share many of the same scenic city landmarks, offering a mix of flat stretches and gentle turns that showcase Melbourne’s urban beauty.

Getting There

Melbourne Park is located in the CBD. Public transport is strongly recommended; trains, trams and buses stop nearby. Limited car parking is available at the Melbourne & Olympic Parks (Gate D, fee applies) and free spaces on Boathouse Drive, with paid options on Alexandra Ave. Bike parking is provided at the M&OP entrance on Olympic Boulevard. Arrive at least 45 minutes before your start and check the official website for the latest transport and parking details.

Weather & What to Pack
