Course Description
The Barwon Heads Triathlon starts with a 400‑metre swim in the calm, protected waters just south of the Barwon Heads Bridge, with a gentle current and sandbars to rest on. Transition is set on the grass field opposite the Barwon Heads Hotel. The 14km bike leg is an out‑and‑back ride along the famed Cadel Evans 13th Beach Road, offering ocean views on a flat, fast course. The final 4km run follows a coastal path through bushland, crossing the Barwon Heads footbridge and staying right‑hand side throughout. Two drink stations and a cheering crowd finish the race back at the hotel car‑park.
