Event Details
Course Description
The Stay Puft courses weave through the iconic Yanchep National Park, offering a mix of gentle undulating tracks and steeper sections that test stamina. The Green (≈5.6 km) is a family‑friendly loop with soft forest floor and occasional creek crossings. The Blue (≈11.5 km) adds longer climbs and panoramic views of the coastal scrub. The Black (≈16.5 km) tackles the park's toughest terrain – rocky outcrops, sand dunes and technical single‑track – rewarding finishers with sweeping vistas of the Swan Coastal Plain. All routes are clearly marked, start and finish at the Chocolate Drops Tearooms, and provide plenty of photo‑op spots along the way.
Getting There
The race is held at the Chocolate Drops Tearooms inside Yanchep National Park, 3499 Wanneroo Rd, Yanchep WA. Parking and public‑transport options are not listed on the event page, so please visit the official Perth Trail Series website for the latest information and to plan your arrival. Arriving early is recommended to collect your bib and warm up before the 7:10 am start.
Weather & What to Pack
March is autumn in Western Australia, bringing mild daytime temperatures of 18‑22 °C and cooler evenings around 12‑14 °C. Expect generally dry conditions with plenty of sunshine, but occasional light showers can occur. Dress in layered clothing – a breathable base layer, a light jacket for early morning chill, and a hat or sunglasses for sun protection. Stay hydrated; a small water bottle or pack is advisable even in milder weather.
