Course Description
The Ocean Grove Running Festival starts and finishes at the Ocean Grove Hotel, where the festive atmosphere begins. Runners head out onto Bonnyvale Road, climbing gently before turning right onto Shell Road. The 5km route follows this early stretch, turning back at the 5km marker. The 10km course continues further along Shell Road before the designated turnaround point, then returns to the hotel. The half‑marathon adds an extended loop around The Point Estate, offering a scenic coastal backdrop before the final return. The courses are predominantly flat with a few gentle rises, combining sealed road sections and shared pathways, making them accessible for walkers, families and seasoned runners alike.

Bib collection is available on Saturday 21 Nov from 12:00 pm–5:00 pm and on race day from 6:30 am until 45 minutes before each start. Is the race timed and are there awards for finishers?
All participants receive a bib with an integrated timing chip, so personal times are recorded. However, the event is not officially timed for placings and does not feature awards; the focus is on participation and receiving a finisher’s medal.
Can I bring a stroller, bike or dog on the course?
For safety reasons, dogs, bikes, scooters, prams and rollerblades are not permitted on the course. Parents may run alongside their children, but the child must have a race bib.
