Course Description
The race starts at Hackett Drive within J Abrahams Reserve, following a flat, paved circuit that loops the park’s perimeter. The route is largely flat with only gentle undulations, making it suitable for both 10km and 5km distances. Runners follow the park’s main pathways, passing open lawns and shaded, tree‑lined avenues, providing a varied but still easy terrain. The course is fully marked with timing mats at each kilometre, and aid stations are positioned at the 5km and 10km points, providing water and electrolyte drinks. Spectators can watch from the park’s perimeter, and clear signage ensures the route is easy to follow. Chip timing is used and results are posted shortly after the finish, offering a pleasant and motivating environment for runners of all levels.

Weather & What to Pack
July is winter in Western Australia, with daytime highs around 18 °C and night lows dropping to about 8 °C. Expect clear skies and low humidity, though a light breeze is common. Runners should dress in layers – a moisture‑wicking base, a long‑sleeve shirt and a light jacket for cooler mornings. A hat or visor and sunglasses are useful for sun, and a pair of warm gloves can be handy early on. Stay hydrated, but you won’t need heavy water supplies in the mild winter heat.
