Course Description

Runners will start at the main entrance of Carine Regional Open Space on Beach Road and follow a looped, sealed pathway that winds through the park’s open grasslands, native bushland and alongside the tranquil lake. The course is predominantly flat with a few gentle undulations, making it fast and accessible for all fitness levels. Along the route, participants can enjoy views of the surrounding coastal suburbs and the distant Indian Ocean horizon. The 10km distance completes two full loops, while the 6.7km and 3.35km options cover one and a half, and half a loop respectively, allowing runners to gauge their effort and finish strong. Well‑marked signage and volunteer marshals ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Getting There

The race starts at Carine Regional Open Space on Beach Road in the northern Perth suburb of Carine. The venue is easily accessible by car and public transport, with nearby parking and bus services. For exact directions, parking details, and recommended arrival times, please visit the Masters Athletics WA website or contact the organisers directly.

Weather & What to Pack

June is winter in Perth, with daytime highs averaging around 20 °C and night lows dropping to about 9 °C. Expect mild sunshine interspersed with occasional light rain, and relatively low humidity. Dress in breathable layers – a short‑sleeve shirt topped with a light jacket or fleece works well. A hat and sunglasses protect against the sun, while a waterproof vest can be handy if showers appear. Stay hydrated, as cooler temperatures can mask fluid loss.
