The Eltham Fun Run & Walk offers a family‑friendly 5km run/walk and a 10km run through Eltham’s scenic parks, starting and finishing at Eltham Leisure Centre. All proceeds support the Pat Cronin Foundation. Enjoy coffee, sausage sizzle and community fun.

Course Description

Runners and walkers will line up at the Eltham Leisure Centre on Brougham Street before heading out onto the picturesque Diamond Creek Trail. The 5km route follows the flat, well‑maintained paths through Eltham’s native bushland and parkland, looping back to the centre for a relaxed finish. The 10km course adds a scenic detour into Westerfolds Park, offering gentle hills, creek crossings and open forest sections before returning along the same trail. Water stations are positioned at the start/finish, near the Lower Park entrance and at the Westerfolds Park loop. The course is family‑friendly, with prams allowed at the back of the pack and dogs on leashes.

Getting There

The event starts and finishes at Eltham Leisure Centre on Brougham Street, Eltham. Limited parking is available around the centre and Withers Way and Bell Street will be closed on race day. How do I register and what are the entry fees?

Registration is via the Race Roster website. Early‑bird pricing has ended, so the standard fees apply: $45 for the 10km run, $40 for the 5km run, $40 for the 5km walk, $40 for the 5km run (under‑18s) and $30 for the 5km walk (under‑18s). Children under 5 can participate for free.

When should I arrive and where can I drop off my race bag?

Bag drop‑off opens at 7:30 am in the Eltham Leisure Centre childcare room. A warm‑up session begins at 7:45 am, followed by the race starts at 8:00 am, 8:20 am and 8:30 am. Arriving early gives you time to collect your bib and settle in.

Are prams and dogs allowed on the course?

Yes. Prams are permitted but should start at the back of the pack for safety. Dogs are welcome on the track provided they are kept on a leash at all times.

What facilities and refreshments are available on race day?

There are water stations at the start/finish, near the Lower Park entrance and at the Westerfolds Park loop. After the race you can enjoy a coffee van, sausage sizzle and food trucks at the leisure centre.
