Event Details
Course Description
The Bella 10K starts at the Buller Village car park and follows the single‑track Athlete’s Walk up to the Buller Summit. From there the route descends onto well‑maintained mountain‑bike trails that wind through alpine forest, offering gentle climbs and fast, flowy sections. Runners cross a few low‑key bridges before tackling the final ascent to the Mt Buller summit, where panoramic views reward the effort. The course finishes back at the village, making it a loop that showcases the best of the Victorian Alps in a manageable 10km distance.
Getting There
From Melbourne, take the M31 east to Mansfield (≈180 km) then follow the Mt Buller Road for another 30 km to the Alpine Village. Free parking is available at the Buller Village car park. Buses run from Mansfield to Mount Buller during the festival weekend. Arrive at least 30 minutes before the start to collect your bib and warm up.

Weather & What to Pack
February is summer in Victoria. At Mount Buller the typical daytime high is around 17 °C with overnight lows near 9 °C and virtually no rain (~1 mm). Expect clear skies and cool breezes. Dress in layers – a lightweight long‑sleeve shirt, a wind‑proof jacket and warm hat or gloves for the early morning. Bring a water bottle; the low temperatures mean you’ll need less fluid than in hotter summer races, but stay hydrated.
