Course Description
The Coburg Harriers Lake Classic is an annual fun run/walk staged by Coburg Harriers Athletics Club, starting and finishing at the Harold Stevens Athletic Track on Outlook Road, Coburg North. The out-and-back course follows the Merri Creek bike path, an undulating and scenic sealed trail through parkland, with the field marshalled along the way. Three distance options are offered - 3km, 6km and 12km - making it approachable for first-time fun runners as well as more experienced club athletes. It's one of Coburg Harriers' regular community fun runs, open to both club members and non-members, with morning tea afterwards for a relaxed, social finish.
Getting There
The event starts and finishes at Harold Stevens Athletic Track on Outlook Road, Coburg North. Parking is available on-site, though limited. Buses service the Coburg area, and Coburg and Merlynston train stations are both within a short walk. Arrive at least 30 minutes before the start time for registration and warm-up.
