Course Description

The 23 km course launches from the Alpine Village on the gentle Family Trail, winding past Split Rock and Cornhill Spur before a fast descent into the Delatite Valley, hopping log bridges over the river. At Mirimbah Crossover you catch a breather before tackling the relentless Klingsporn climb, followed by the technical McLoughlins Spur (the North Face). After conquering a 1 150 m ascent to the summit just shy of 1 805 m, the final 2 km Athletes Walk brings you back to the Village Square for applause. The route blends rolling single‑track, steep climbs and rewarding alpine vistas.

Dress in layers – a breathable base, a wind‑proof jacket, and a hat or buff. Bring plenty of water (minimum 2 L) and stay hydrated, especially if temperatures climb.
