Course Description
The Frankston Running Festival starts and finishes at the Frankston Foreshore, right by the iconic Frankston Pier. All distances follow an out‑and‑back route along the northbound lane of the Nepean Highway, giving runners a traffic‑free stretch with views of Port Phillip Bay. The 15km route turns around just past Keast Park in Seaford, the 10km at Chapman Lane near Seaford Pier, and the 5km at Gould Street. After the turnaround, athletes re‑enter the Bay Trail at the Gould St/Nepean Hwy intersection, following the scenic Kananook Creek path back to the finish. The 1km Kids Race stays entirely on the Bay Trail. The course is flat, well‑marked and supported by water stations every 2.5km.
Getting There
The event is held at the Frankston Foreshore beside Frankston Pier in Frankston, VIC. Parking is available near the start/finish area, though the foreshore car park is closed until all races have started. When does registration close?
Online registration closes on Friday 13 November 2026 at 6 pm. Late entries are accepted at the venue on Saturday 14 November from 12 pm to 5 pm, and on race day up to 45 minutes before each start time.
How can I collect my bib?
Bib collection is on Saturday 14 November from 12 pm to 5 pm at the start/finish grass area in front of Frankston Pier, and on race day from 6 am with a minimum of 60 minutes before your race start. If you’ve already received your bib by post, you can head straight to the start line.
Are there any gear restrictions on the course?
For safety, dogs, bicycles, scooters, prams and rollerblades are not permitted on the course. All participants must wear their timing bib visibly at all times and complete the full out‑and‑back route to receive an official result.
What are the start times and how early should I arrive?
The 15 km race starts at 7:10 am, the 5 km at 7:20 am, the 10 km at 7:40 am and the 1 km Kids Race at 9:55 am. Arrive at least 60 minutes before your chosen start time to collect your bib, warm up and line up.
What is the refund or transfer policy if I need to change my entry?
Refunds are available on a sliding scale – up to 8 weeks before the event you receive 75 % of your entry fee, 4‑8 weeks before 50 %, 1‑4 weeks before 25 % and no refund within 7 days of the race. Transfers can be made up to 7 days before the event, with any price difference payable.
