Weather & What to Pack
July is Broome's dry season with ideal running conditions. Expect warm, sunny days with temperatures ranging from 18-28°C, low humidity, and minimal rainfall. Morning starts take advantage of cooler temperatures, though the sun can be intense even early. Wear light, breathable clothing, apply sunscreen liberally, and bring a hat or visor. The beach setting offers some breeze but limited shade. Hydration is crucial—use all drink stations positioned every 5km. The dry season ensures perfect conditions with no monsoonal rain to contend with.
Frequently Asked Questions

Race pack collection is from 10am to 2pm on Saturday (day before the race) at Cable Beach, directly behind the Surf Club. This is strongly recommended to avoid queues on race morning.

Is running on sand harder than road running?
Yes, beach running requires more effort. However, this event is timed to coincide with ideal tide conditions ensuring super firm, hard-packed sand that's much faster than soft sand. Train on sand if possible before the event.
