Weather & What to Pack
June in Western Australia's South West brings winter conditions with average temperatures ranging from 12°C to 18°C. Expect cool mornings and evenings, with the possibility of rain (175mm average for Augusta, 160mm for Dunsborough). Nights can be cold, particularly during the exposed coastal sections. Waterproof gear is mandatory, including a seam-sealed jacket with minimum 10,000mm waterproof rating and waterproof pants. Pack thermal layers, gloves, and a beanie. Be prepared for strong coastal winds and potential water crossings that may be swollen from rainfall.
