The G:link light rail stops at Main Beach station, approximately 1.5km from the venue. Southport and Surfers Paradise are within 5-10 minutes' drive. Consider carpooling or cycling to the event given the early start time and parking demand.

Weather & What to Pack

May on the Gold Coast brings pleasant autumn conditions ideal for running. Expect mild temperatures ranging from 14-24°C, with cooler conditions at the 6:15 AM start time. Humidity is generally lower than summer months, making for comfortable racing conditions. Sunrise occurs around 6:30 AM, so bring a head torch for the early start. The weather is typically dry and stable, though a light jacket for pre-race warmth is advisable. Sun protection becomes important as the morning progresses, so apply sunscreen before the start and consider a cap for sun protection during the later stages.
