Getting There

Sir James Mitchell Park is located on Mill Point Road in South Perth, directly opposite the Perth CBD across the Swan River. Street parking is available along Mill Point Road and surrounding streets, though arriving early is recommended due to event popularity. Public transport users can catch the Transperth ferry from Elizabeth Quay to Mends Street Jetty (5-minute walk to the start), or use bus routes 30, 31 or 950 to South Perth. Plan to arrive at least 30-45 minutes before your race start time for registration and the 7:15 AM race briefing.

Weather & What to Pack

Early May in Perth typically offers ideal running conditions with mild autumn temperatures ranging from 12-22°C. Morning start times mean cooler temperatures at the beginning, warming up as the sun rises over the river. Humidity is generally low, and rainfall is uncommon during this period. Dress in layers you can remove, and don't underestimate sun exposure on the exposed riverside paths - sunscreen is essential. The 3-hour cut-off means some runners will be out during the warmer mid-morning period, so carry water and stay hydrated throughout.
