This monthly time trial attracts a friendly mix of club runners and visitors, all enjoying one of Melbourne's most picturesque running locations.
Quick Facts
Getting There
The start line is located at the Pillars of Wisdom on the Tan Track, just up from Swan Street Bridge. Street parking is available on nearby streets including Alexandra Avenue and Domain Road. Arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the 7:30 AM start to complete entry forms and payment on the day.
Weather & What to Pack
Early April in Melbourne brings pleasant autumn conditions, ideal for running. Expect mild morning temperatures between 12-18°C with lower humidity than summer months. Sunrise is around 7:15 AM, so runners will enjoy beautiful morning light through the gardens. Pack layers as it can be cool at the start but warm up quickly. The sealed path drains well, though occasional showers are possible in autumn. A cap and sunglasses are recommended as the sun rises during the run.
