Course Description

Weather & What to Pack

March in Adelaide typically offers ideal running conditions with warm, dry weather. Expect temperatures ranging from 15-26°C with low humidity and minimal rainfall. The 6pm start time provides relief from the day's heat, with pleasant evening conditions for racing. Pack sunscreen for the late afternoon arrival period, and bring a light layer for after the race as temperatures cool. The dry autumn weather makes this an excellent time for fast relay splits on the sealed parkland circuit.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the relay format work?

Each team has 4 members who take turns running 5km (2 laps of the 2.5km loop). After completing their 2 laps, runners pass the virtual baton to their next teammate in traditional relay fashion. Teams can be all male, all female, or mixed (requiring at least 1 male and 1 female).

What categories can we enter?

Teams can enter in Social (Friends & Family), Corporate, Fitness (Clubs/Gyms), or SARRC categories. Awards are given for overall fastest male, female, and mixed teams, plus category-specific prizes. Choose your category when entering to compete for bragging rights!

When does online entry close?

Online entry closes on Wednesday, 11 March 2026. Entry fee is $120 per team ($30 per person), covering chip timing, measured course, drink station, first aid services, and access to food vendors including the OzHarvest BBQ.

Can spectators watch the race?

Absolutely! The relay route passes through designated team site spaces, meaning spectators can position themselves to watch multiple laps and provide encouragement throughout the race. Toilets and food vendors are available at the start/finish area.

Do I need to be fast to participate?

Not at all! This event welcomes runners, joggers, and walkers of all fitness levels. While some teams compete for fastest times, most participate for the community spirit and team experience. The relay format makes it accessible for first-time 5km participants.
