Event Details
Course Description
All three duathlon courses are set on the flat, well‑maintained paths of Champion Lakes Regatta Centre. The Sprint and Team Sprint routes feature two 2.5 km run laps, three 20 km bike laps around the island and a final 2.5 km run. The Bolt course shortens the run to 2.5 km and the bike to two 12 km laps, while the Novice/Tinlids race is a single 1 km run, a 6 km bike loop and a finishing 1 km run. Bridges, an aid station at the 615 m mark and clear transition zones keep the day fast‑paced and spectator‑friendly.
Getting There
The event is hosted at Champion Lakes Regatta Centre in the suburb of Champion Lakes, Perth. For detailed parking, public transport options and exact directions, please visit the official EXSS website or contact the organisers directly.
Weather & What to Pack
October is spring in Western Australia, with mild to warm days and low humidity. Expect average temperatures between 15 °C and 25 °C, occasional light breezes and plenty of sunshine. Dress in layers – a light, breathable top for the run, a short‑sleeve jersey for the bike, and a waterproof jacket in case of an unexpected shower. Hydration is still important, but you won’t need heavy cooling gear.
