Course Description

Raby Bay Harbour Park on the Redlands Coast provides a picturesque backdrop for the Queensland Tri Series Round 4. Competitors start with a calm swim in the protected waters of Raby Bay, followed by a fast, flat bike ride along the coastal roads that hug the shoreline. The run finishes on a wide foreshore promenade, offering sea‑views and gentle gradients. Four distance options are on offer: the Club distance (800 m swim / 25 km bike / 6 km run), Super Sprint (400 m / 15 km / 4 km), the Rackley Swimming Enticer (300 m / 10 km / 2 km) and the Pho3nix Kids Triathlon (100 m / 2 km / 500 m). Each course is clearly marked, with transition zones set up near the harbour entrance for easy access.

Getting There

The event is based at Raby Bay Harbour Park in the Redlands, just south of Brisbane. Parking and public transport options are provided on the event website. Check the official site for detailed directions, parking fees, and any shuttle services. Plan to be there at least 30 minutes before your wave start to complete bag drop and get set up in the transition area.

Weather & What to Pack

December is summer in Queensland, so expect warm to hot conditions at Raby Bay Harbour Park. Daytime temperatures typically range from 22 °C to 30 °C with high humidity and occasional afternoon thunderstorms. Sun protection is essential – wear a hat, sunscreen and light, breathable clothing. Bring plenty of water and consider a cooling towel for the bike and run legs. If the water feels cool, a wetsuit may be permitted for adult races, but check the event board on race morning.
