Course Description

The Robina course weaves through the coastal suburb’s flat, well‑paved streets and parkland. Swimmers launch from a sheltered pool area before heading out onto a 40 km bike loop that follows the main road network, offering smooth riding and easy navigation. The run finishes on a scenic riverside promenade, with plenty of cheering zones. Kids enjoy a shorter, safe circuit with a 100 m swim, 2 km bike and 500 m run. All routes are clearly marked and supported by volunteers, making the day both challenging and enjoyable.

Getting There

Robina is off the Pacific Motorway (M1) just south of the Gold Coast. Free parking is available at the nearby Robina Town Centre car park and at the event site. Trains stop at Robina Station (Gold Coast Line) with regular bus services to the venue. Arrive at least one hour before your chosen start time to allow for registration and bag drop.

Frequently Asked Questions

What ages can enter each distance?

Standard (14+), Sprint (13+), Enticer (12+), and Kids Triathlon (7+) all have minimum age limits as listed on the event page. Fun runs are open to all ages.

Do I need a bike or can I hire one?

You may bring your own bike or use the limited mountain‑bike hire service offered by The Event Crew. Contact them at 07 5568 0443 to arrange a hire.

What gear is mandatory?

A helmet is compulsory for the bike leg, and a coloured swim cap will be provided. Wetsuits are not allowed for the Kids race; for other distances a wetsuit decision will be based on water temperature on race morning.

How does the transition area work?

Set up your bike and running gear in the transition zone before the start. After swimming, you’ll rack your bike, don your helmet and continue. Timing chips are attached to your left ankle; keep them on for the whole race.

Can I race as part of a relay team?

Yes – the event offers a Mates Wave relay where teammates split the swim, bike and run legs. Teams can have two or three members; see the event manual for exact rules.
