Course Description

The Kuringgai Chase Fun Run winds through the leafy, residential streets of North Wahroonga on fully closed roads, starting and finishing at Claude Cameron Grove on the corner of Kintore Street and Westbrook Avenue. The 5km course forms one loop, with the 10km sending competitors around twice. Runners will tackle the character-building Kokoda Avenue hill, while walkers enjoy sweeping views over the Ku-ring-gai National Park. The 2km option follows a flat, beginner-friendly section of the main course, making it ideal for younger participants and first-timers. The tree-lined streets and community atmosphere make this a scenic and welcoming event for all.

Getting There

The event starts and finishes at Claude Cameron Grove, corner of Kintore Street and Westbrook Avenue, Wahroonga. Street parking in surrounding residential streets is limited, so arriving early is recommended. Wahroonga train station on the North Shore Line is a short walk away, making public transport a practical option. Bib collection and bag drop open from 8:00 AM.

Weather & What to Pack

June in Sydney's Upper North Shore brings cool to mild winter conditions, typically ranging from 7°C to 17°C. Mornings can be crisp at race start time, so layers are advisable — a light jacket to warm up in before you get moving works well. Rain is possible, so a water-resistant layer is worth packing. The tree-lined course provides some shelter from wind. Hydration remains important even in cooler weather.
