Quick Facts
Getting There
Specific start location details will be confirmed when registrations open in January 2026. Melbourne CBD is accessible via extensive public transport including trains, trams, and buses. If driving, check the official 777 Marathon website closer to the event for designated parking locations. Arrive at least 45 minutes before your race start time to allow for registration, gear check, and warm-up. Car pooling is encouraged to reduce parking demand.
Weather & What to Pack
Early July in Melbourne brings mid-winter conditions with average daily temperatures ranging from 6-14°C. Expect cool to cold conditions, particularly at early morning start times, with possible wind and light rain. Dress in layers with moisture-wicking base layers, a long-sleeve top, and light gloves that you can remove as you warm up. The cooler weather is ideal for distance running, though you'll need to stay warm before and after your event. Pack a change of dry clothes and warm layers for post-race recovery.
