Quick Facts
Getting There
The race runs between Port Augusta and Quorn in the Flinders Ranges, approximately 350km north of Adelaide. Participants should check the official website for specific start line locations and finish line details for their chosen distance. Transport arrangements are typically provided between start and finish points for point-to-point events. Plan to arrive early to allow time for registration, warm-up, and any shuttle bus transfers. Parking information and specific directions will be provided closer to the event date.
Weather & What to Pack
Late June in the Flinders Ranges brings winter conditions with cool to cold temperatures. Expect daytime temperatures ranging from 10-16°C, with much colder early morning starts potentially around 2-8°C. The region experiences low humidity and clear skies, though occasional winter rainfall is possible. Mornings can be particularly crisp in the outback. Dress in layers that can be removed as you warm up, and consider arm warmers or a light running jacket. Despite cooler temperatures, hydration remains important. Sun protection is still recommended as the Australian sun can be strong even in winter.
